Description

Sh2-261, Lower's Nebula, is an emission nebula in the godfather of nebulae, Orion, but is not often imaged being overwhelmed by its more vibrant neighbors.  This represents our SRO teams contribution to a collaboration aiming for 500 hours.  It is possibly a little too large to fit in the window of this CDK-14, but still a spectacularly detailed and colorful image in the Hubble Palette  (or my personal interpretation of SHO).  Thanks again to Tim Triche as our principal investigator and Linda, Chris, and Bob on the team.
